We started Clear Skies with one goal, to provide homeowners and businesses with a reliable, professional exterior cleaning service they could truly trust. Over five years on, we have grown into a fully certified, fully insured specialist team with the qualifications, equipment, and experience to handle some of the most challenging exterior surfaces safely and effectively.
We are proud to be a PureSeal Approved Applicator, having successfully completed Module 1 for driveways and paving restoration and Module 3 for roof and UPVC restoration. The treatment lasts for 3-5 years( depending on environment ie trees overhanging roof )
A biocide is a specially formulated chemical solution that kills and prevents organic growth such as moss, algae, mould, and lichen. In roof cleaning, it’s applied after physical removal of moss and debris to stop regrowth and clean staining at a deeper level.
Biocide doesn’t just remove surface growth, it seeps into the pores of tiles, slates, and other materials, breaking down biological spores and preventing future infestation. It continues working weeks after application and is vital in long-term roof maintenance.
After Manual Roof Cleaning
Many roofs still have tiny spores left behind after moss removal. These can’t be seen but will quickly grow back if left untreated. Biocide is used after scraping or brushing to ensure the job is thorough and lasting.

Only once with pre maintenance plan in place once we have cleared roof of moss we apply biocide treatment and in 3-5 years just before you start to have organic growth grow again we apply another treatment without the need to clear moss again which takes the majority of the time, saving costs
